“PME is one of the most common sexual issues couples are facing now days. Timing is not everything but it can still add frustration to you relation. If your timing is not enough to satisfy your partner, its called PME. In literature PME is classified as primary or lifelong, secondary or acquired, global, situational. World Health Organization 1992 defines PE as “The inability to control ejaculation sufficiently for both partners to enjoy sexual interaction” and as “an inability to delay ejaculation sufficiently to enjoy lovemaking”, and manifest as either of the following:
1) Occurrence of ejaculation before or very soon after the beginning of intercourse (if a time limit is required: before or within 15 seconds of the beginning of intercourse)
2) Ejaculation occurs in the absence of sufficient erection to make intercourse possible, 30-50% men face this issue at some point in their life.
Causes: Neurological, performance anxiety, psychological, relationship problem, erectile dysfunction, prostatitis, hyperthyroidism, drugs/medicines, depression, stress, guilt.”
